day 4

The first verse of the rap says that the people of Rome got tired of Tarquin the Proud's corrupt leadership, so they ran him out. That information is also found in the textbook on page 156. "A harsh tyrant, he was driven from power in 509 B.C. The Romans declared they would never again be ruled by a king." The rap says "democracy aristocracy plus monarchy not a tyranny" and the book says that the Romans took the best features of each type of government and made their own called a republic. Another line of the rap says "Hannibal riding on elephant back crossing the Alps just to launch his attack" which was Hannibal's battle strategy.
